- How do I care for my Helm garment?
- Machine wash cold 86° F (30° C) with like colors. Tumble Dry on low. Iron on cool if needed. Do not bleach. Do not use fabric softener. Tumble dry low. Do not dry clean.
- How do I ensure my Helm garment always looks its best?
- Remember to remove immediately from washer and dryer. If needed, cool iron to remove creasing. In case of staining, we suggest using a mild dish soap to clean it. If exposed to salt water, sunscreen, or other chemicals, we advise rinsing and washing as soon as possible.

Much lighter than the Ascender Shorts, exactly what I was looking for. The Helm hybrid shorts, may not have as many pockets as the Ascender but, I don’t think you’ll notice. I like the location of the pockets the Helm provide. I look forward to wearing these the rest of the summer and fall.

For the first two weeks I had these shorts I wore them a great deal and really loved them. In fac,t I liked them so much I told Bluffworks that they were my favorite shorts and I bought a second pair! They are very, very comfortable, the fabric is great and they look good. The design is minimalist but very functional. However, after three weeks the seam, below the zipper came apart. i am not a heavy guy so it wasn't that the seam was too stretched. I had previously written Bluffworks suggesting that, for the price, they should sew an extra button (there is only one) into the garment. I would now add "do a lot better job on the seams!" Finally, don't just fold over the material on the right back pocket sew it in place but please do good job on that seam as well

I have the old school Auckland Travel shorts, which I love, so I was excited to try these new helm shorts. I like the weight and feel of the fabric. I do miss the front right phone pocket of the old Auckland , but the back phone pocket works well. They are comfortable to swim in, just take a little longer than normal trunks to dry.
